I noticed that while Leeds was in rain, Whitby had pretty decent weather. I'm planning on attending the SOSc meetings every year in July, so one of those times we will meet up. Next year's meeting is back at Launde closer to Peterborough, but the following year it's back to Whitby.motherameliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11381575553733390018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1599514600692448242.post-1489711996238472582010-08-05T04:49:51.849-04:002010-08-05T04:49:51.849-04:00Sound like a fabulous trip. Wonderful Sermon. I played hooky that Sunday and went to hear Father James at St. Mary the Virgin in Falmouth. He's a fabulous Homilist also. (Of course I got a call from friends at St. Luke's that night and they tell me Father David hit it out of the park that Sunday...) Hope to see you soon!

Say hello to Izzie from Emmett!

--WadeWadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11385254585966905674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1599514600692448242.post-31208252963798864632010-07-28T21:15:48.391-04:002010-07-28T21:15:48.391-04:00Mimi, you understand hospitality, it is something ...Mimi, you understand hospitality, it is something I've experienced.

And Leo, I count you and Mimi among those who shamelessly and impudently work for God's kingdom.motherameliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11381575553733390018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1599514600692448242.post-61867866974283376882010-07-28T11:07:28.728-04:002010-07-28T11:07:28.728-04:00We are to be the impudent, shameless ones who ask,...We are to be the impudent, shameless ones who ask, knock, seek and find until all of God's children have the bread they need for the day.¨ MA

Exactly, ¨until we all fall down and go boom.¨ You have my word we must speak out against ¨Atom and Evil.¨Leonardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16667415590825321701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1599514600692448242.post-11168146559094861932010-07-27T17:43:18.319-04:002010-07-27T17:43:18.319-04:00Lovely sermon, Amelia. A good many of us in Western society have lost the art of hospitality, although I believe that radical hospitality may never have been as strong as in the Middle East, when hospitality was regularly a matter of life and death.

And it still is, even in our society of plenty, in which too many have little or nothing, and, for them, hospitality may be a matter of life or death.June Butlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01723016934182800437noreply@blogger.com
