No Voice in Government

I fell asleep watching television last night.  I had a very strange dream.  I was in a room where we were supposed to take turns discussing something very important.  What the subject was I don't know, but it was important, and it was as though I was totally ignored.  Everyone else was given time to have their say, but no matter how much I screamed and carried on and asked for my turn, it was as though I wasn't even there.  The moderator completely ignored me.  I then went to another room, different people, but the same thing happened.  By-the-way, the people in the dream were clergy I know here in our diocese and that made it even more frustrating. When I woke up, the Republican candidates for governor were just finishing their spiels on Maine Public Television.

Wonder what this means about my thoughts on not having a voice in government?  Hummmm.

Did you have Kimchi for dinner? Nobody lets me talk (or get near them) after I feast on Kimchi!

There is obviously a practical answer to thing silly oversight as I hang on your every word (and wonder what new adventures you´re going to be up to next).

I´m listening,

Leonardo

I love Kimchi. No new adventures with the government for me. Been there done that at the local, national and international level. But how did you know that love of adventure is one of my values. Just waiting with God to see what comes next.

I fell asleep listening to the radio last night. Of course it was the Red Sox game, not the gang of Republicans vying to be the loser in the general election. Folks will need more time to forget McKernan before Maine elects another of them to sit in the Blame House, I mean Blaine house.

I wonder how much of their blah, blah, blah, got through to my subconscious. I hadn't planned on watching it at all, so must have fallen asleep just before it started.

I can see where it would lead to some cognitive dissonance. What world do they live in? The last Governor to raise taxes was a Republican, not a Democrat. And they're all old enough to remember.

I wasn't here then, although I'm certainly old enough, Most of the candidates of either party talk about fiscal responsibility, to get votes. I'd rather trust the legislators. However, I can't vote in the primary since I'm a declared independent, Have to wait and see and hope I don't have to choose the lesser of two evils.

Hmmmm. What if you changed the word "government" to "the church"? Or "the Communion"? The possibilities are endless. :-)

Grandmère Mimi, I do have a voice in the diocese for which I am grateful, but for the rest......

Endless possibilities, oh my! I like the idea of endless possibilities, when the possibilities are positive, but not so much about not having a voice.
