Morning Blessing

This is taken from Celtic Daily Prayer: from the Northubria Community- Morning Prayer. With all the terrible news in our world we all need a bit of God's blessing and peace and wisdom.

Blessing
May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you,
wherever He may send you.
May He guide you through the wilderness,
protect you through the storm.
May He bring you home rejoicing
at the wonders he has shown you.
May He bring you home rejoicing
once again into our doors.
May God's peace live deep in your hearts and  nourish you through all your days.

The WORLD needs it...now, right now...but I honestly believe that walking through the insanity will get everyone to the otherside (it takes what it takes)...we are blessed to be able to face God´s reality...that´s a very big deal...it´s the starting place, not the falling off place.

Thank you for more moments of hope and peace.

Leonardo, I read your blog and others to help me face the insanity and then I come back to prayer to help me through it. God's reality is one of peace and blessing. We just keep forgetting that.

I think accepting God´s reality is about trust...TRUSTING God...that´s the place where I needed better understanding, I needed to investigate my LACK of TRUST (in the whole experience of being a vulnerable human being)...I spent a lifetime worrying (as if worrying was a responsbile thing for me to be doing, like it accompliced something other than making me anxious)...then, suddenly I discovered my whole gift from God was about trusting God...Trusting God in all my affairs and especially understanding that God understood my vulnerabilities better than me...God is willing to help me (especially when I´m overwhelmed and have no answers for the injustice, misery and vile behavior that is present in REALITY)...I avoid painful realities before...I was cowardly.

Trust is a biggie. I think I was well into my 40s before I really trusted God. It took a couple of severe depressions and lots of therapy. Now I can't imagine not trusting. I know that no matter what God is here with me.
